In 2010 a Man was rejected from becoming a Foreign Ambassador due to an Unfortunate Mistranslation:

Imagine you’re in charge of hiring the new ambassador from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia, when you get an application from a professional, highly trustworthy and experienced applicant. Surely you would pick him?

The applicant in question is Akbar Zeb. He has been the Pakistani ambassador to 3 countries before, but none of them has Arabic as their official language. In Arabic, Akbar Zeb translates to ‘biggest dick’.

Because they did not want to have to announce his name on television, Akbar was turned down from the job. What other unfortunate names have you heard of? Tell us in the comments!
